10.7MHz is used in
radio-receivers as the intermediate frequency. When a RF-signal is received by the
antenna, it will be down converted to 10.7MHz. This frequency will be amplified by the MF
amplifiers. I think this device is used to intercept this MF-signal for some kind of (low
level) spying purposes.
The presence of a 10.7MHz signal in the air is also indicating that there is a receiver
nearby. |
